On LinkedIn I've seen multiple people post that they received a gift (picture below) from LinkedIn after getting starting new job at various companies. I thought that was really nice of LinkedIn. Just curious how LinkedIn picked who gets mailed a congratulatory gift. Anyone at LinkedIn willing to share? I notice that those people who about receiving the gift, both their previous and future employer was not linkedin. Seems like only a lucky few are chosen from many. Lol was kind of jealous.
IBM, hope you sent dick pic in return to your recruiter?
I was thinking it's for those who have purchased premium or some fancy LinkedIn subscription, and in that, random selection, if not then someone from LinkedIn has to answer here
I think someone already asked this and the answer was that when you move on from LinkedIn as your employer the company celebrates it as a stepping stone in your career and sends you a gift as congratulations
Thanks but I clicked on a few of those profiles when I see the posts and both their previous and future employer was not linkedin.
I think Versa networks above me is correct then, its from people who paid for premium during their job search
I figured it out after doing a bit of digging. LinkedIn pretty much reached out to people who posted an announcement about starting their new job, especially if their post received alot of likes/comments.
Hm? Recruiters sending gift baskets are not that uncommon
The posts would say they received the gift directly from linkedin and they thanked LinkedIn. They started new jobs at random companies, not at LinkedIn.
