LinkedIn onsite experience.
I had my LinkedIn onsite earlier today. I did really well in the 2 coding rounds. Solved 2 hards and 2 mediums over 2 algo interviews, answered follow ups and there were no bugs. But the tech communication and sys design were bad. Could not come up with a good enough design of the system. Also in tech communication could not answer some of the follow ups about my project with sufficient depth. Both interviewers were visibly exasperated. Is this a definite reject?

Is this for applications role? Infra related interviews put more focus on design.

Why were they exasperated? Doesn't sound normal. Regarding system design, those interviews are quite subjective. What you think is a good design might not be good enough from the interviewers perspective, and vice versa. Don't overthink. Not going to change the result, just wait for it.
