For anyone who is preparing for LinkedIn phone/onsite interviews, here are the questions that I got for my phone and onsite interview. Phone interview: 1) Search number in rotated array 2) Find diameter of a binary tree Onsite interview 1) Coding module 1 - A total of 3 questions asked. 1.1 - Find the inclusive and exclusive times of a function -> a modified version of this question from leetcode. - https://leetcode.com/problems/exclusive-time-of-functions/description/ 1.2 - Find the lowest common ancestor of binary search tree 1.3 - Find the lowest common ancestor of binary tree 2) Coding module 2 - Design a data structure that supports adding new words and finding if a string matches any previously added string. https://leetcode.com/problems/design-add-and-search-words-data-structure/description/ 3) Manager round - Specific details about project discussion along with behavioral questions. 4) Tech communication round - Explain one project of yours in depth. Have answers for every possible design choice, tech stack choice. 5) System Design round - Design typeahead search in linkedin. If you type a prefix in search box, it should populate the people with that prefix in your connections, connections of connections, and companies. For coding, linkedin tagged leetcode questions are sufficient. The system design round carries a lot of weight if you are interviewing for senior/staff level. Spend most of your time in preparing for system design. #linkedin #linkedininterview
One resource I found it helps me incredibly well with behavioral interviews was the 48 cards deck from 9to5cards https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKLRLP7P
Isn’t the phone round for two hours??
Phone round - 1 hour
I think I saw you on Leetcode or maybe you got the same questions. Huge thanks for sharing this!
Happy to help!
Thank you, much respect for detailing the whole process. This aids future candidates significantly.
While I was preparing, I couldn't find much information on Blind or leetcode discuss or glassdoor. The hiring freeze at LinkedIn last year could be the reason.
