LinkedIn vs Snap Offer

LinkedIn: *Retention offer* Senior L3 210K base 170k RSU quarterly, no cliff 21k annual bonus TC 401K Promo to staff L4 likely in 6mo, but fear won't get large raise due to being in high band for senior. Snap: Staff L5 210k base 312K RSU monthly, no cliff 32K annual bonus TC 554K Worried about Snap stock, but I feel I'd be dumb to turn it down. What do you all think? In the end, I just want someone to blame besides myself if I make a bad decision 😂 TC ~290K YOE 4

Snap is dicey and quite frankly don't know how things are going to pan out for them.

Meta spendess Jun 5, 2022

How did u get staff?

Google pUzw45 Jun 5, 2022

No cliff as in you’re guaranteed those stocks every year? Is that common with LinkedIn and Snap?

LinkedIn microtic OP Jun 5, 2022

No cliff as in no waiting period of 1 year without stock

Google pUzw45 Jun 5, 2022

That’s different than cliff isn’t it? That seems to just be a shorter vesting period

How are you already at LinkedIn?

Wayfair gt345s Jun 5, 2022

You work for LinkedIn right ? How come it bumped from 290 to 401 ?

Google pUzw45 Jun 5, 2022

Is that LinkedIn offer a retention offer?

LinkedIn microtic OP Jun 5, 2022

Yep, that's correct

LinkedIn microtic OP Jun 5, 2022

Edited post to include that info, seems like a lot of people were confused oops

Wait Senior band at LinkedIn is max at 350k and that too with sign on. Your TC sounds like it's in staff range. Are you sure you are not trolling us here ? Is it MLE or Applied research category?

LinkedIn microtic OP Jun 5, 2022

It was a retention offer, and I'm important to the team at the moment

VMware BananaSana Jun 5, 2022

LinkedIn for safety Snap if you want to risk it for more

LinkedIn bo1ksolLPL Jun 6, 2022

Why do people think LinkedIn is safe? Because of MSFT?

Amazon mMfT32 Jun 13, 2022

Yes @LinkedIn. Do you think otherwise ? If so, why?

Bloomberg kIpg68 Jun 5, 2022

How come L5 at Snap with 4yoe?

LinkedIn microtic OP Jun 5, 2022

Have 3 additional years during college where I worked in the industry at a small company, so technically counts as 7
