- How easy is it to move around internally (switch teams) - What’s the wlb like? - When are offices reopening? #LinkedIn

LinkedIn liljonyeah Feb 3, 2021

1) should be fairly easy to move teams if you’re at least getting meets ratings. might have to do interview for some teams if the discipline is different enough. 2) wlb varies by group, but on average it’s quite good. Probably comparable to google, but not quite as chill as Microsoft. 3) scheduled for July but it’s pretty unlikely. They won’t require anyone to come back into the office until we hit Stage 6, which is defined as zero covid transmissions.

Do you mind sharing what a meets rating is?

In what ways? Wlb? Pip?

LinkedIn wTEl38 Feb 3, 2021

Moving team is getting more difficult, since hiring is no longer committee based

people at LinkedIn are arrogant, but live like a dog that surrendered to money

can confirm. many higher level li engineers are there due to title inflation or playing politics. not very talented but arrogant

Good WLB on most teams. Aiming to go back to office after July 4.

What do you call a good wlb?

LinkedIn jljkjkjk Apr 15, 2021

Most days I work ~6 hours, rarely above 8. Tomorrow is a day off and today few people seem to be working. Main downside is oncall when might be doing 12 hour days.
