I recently remember a poll where ~97-98% people said their feed is shitty and the comment section was filled with complaints too. I am one of those whose linkedin feed was not that bad but now is insufferable. I have following feedback but I am sure there will be more in comments: - Please make your feed engine like instagram/tiktok, feed us what we like. If I like/react to research papers/tech blogs more, show me that; if I like lame ass fake life lesson advices, show me that. It shouldn’t be that difficult. - I barely want to know my connections’ job updates- I definitely don’t want to be know about my connections liking their connection’s job change post. - Have a option ‘not relevant to me’ or ‘I dont like this post’ to improve the feed on feedback? - Option to opt out from connection’s birthday or work anniversary reminders? (I dont think any adult is wishing birthdays.) Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk! TC: 258k
Commenting for reach
Haha.. That made me chuckle!
Doing the needful here
Reach++
ok
Allow sort by Most Recent on app. How is this not available yet ?
LinkedIn can't monetize most recent.
The problem isn’t the algorithm it’s the type of content that people post
Great opportunity
Agree?
At the end of the day it is social media
Screw LinkedIn for even trying to create work-based social media. Work consumes enough of our lives already. We don’t need a company trying to get us addicted to talking about work with other people.
Well I hope it’s sarcasm. I love linkedin as a product but I don’t want to suffer because my connection has a bad taste and keep liking the lame ass posts.
In the alerts page, there are options to stop seeing stuff like this. I don’t remember if that affects the main feed though.
