Guys can you share please how interview in top companies works for Linux Kernel Engineers ? 1)What to expect : is there leetcode as for regular SWE jobs? 2)Will someone bother me with system design let’s say please compose a Tinder for me; while I am expecting questions like describe the scheduler algoritm… ? 3)Should I expect higher salary ranges over regular swe jobs ? 1) Only at FANG. Not others like Nvidia or Intel. Don't know about the rest. 3) Same as SWE pay at big tech.
Google and Meta will put you through a regular interview loop with all the usual stuff. You may only talk to the HM of the kernel team. Nvidia is highly team specific so I can’t speak for our kernel teams processes.
