TC: $450k Has anyone worked with them for a mortgage or refinance ? I’m looking to Refi my home in the Bay Area and they were recommended by Lending Tree. 2.99% APR, fixed 30 year with $4k in closing costs seems competitive compared to Wells Fargo and BofA who want ~$20k in closing costs for the same. https://www.loandepot.com
I am in in the process, locked rate of 2.99 and no closing cost. Your LTV is solid, you can negotiate for credit/no closing cost.
I think you can close a better rate today. My current mortgage is with LoanDepot. The company is ok. The mortgage officer was a POS

I read through the loan package and caught that the interest rate is floating and not locked during the refinance process. I’ve asked the agent I’m working with to lock the rate so there is no upside risk.
Just closed 30 years fixed in bay area.. ( 2.75% rate and apr, no closing cost, ltv <60).. go with them they are the best in rates and service.. no second thought.. dont just go by my rates as i had locked long ago and everyone’s situation is different
Thanks for sharing your experience ! My LTV is ~ 45%. Perhaps there is room to work down the APR. Did you have to negotiate for no closing costs ? Did you Refi or Mortgage ?
I did negotiate slightly on closing cost.. it’s refinance.. loan amount was 750k.. i had talked to dozens lenders and LoanDepot stood out
