London - Google L5 vs. Facebook IC6
TC identical at USD$ 280k (remembering London pays worse). Not chasing promotions, interested in good projects and reasonable WLB. What would you do? Anyone successfully negotiated a sign-on bonus with the London office at either place? 8 YOE at non-FAANG

Depends on you. I'd choose the FB L6 unless G gave me a chance to work on Google AI or deep mind.
It's not just about working on interesting projects. It's also about having enough impact to direct the directions of those projects. If you can operate at l6 and have been offered l6 from a different faang why not take it
Agree with your point re: influence. Yes IC6 @ FB, but G is a "level" lower at the same TC, and I understand downlevelling is common. Given that I am new to FAANG might be best to not focus on the highest level? Does it really matter that much?
