Hi, I am a DevOps engineer working out of Montreal TC : 88 CA$ + RSU worth 5000 CA$ for next three years 4 years of Experience I am looking for a change, I am a Canadian citizen and it would be great if you could share me some companies which are more in to remote workplace Skill set CI/CD (Jenkins, Piper) Test Automation (Nightwatch, Selenium) NodeJs, Docker, K8s ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana MySQL, SAP Cloud Platform Pursuing my GCP DevOps certification #remotecompanies #remotereality #remote #usaa
Hi I think even in Mtl u should able to get over 100k pretty easily, in Toronto I have seen 150 and 200k up for Senior devops. There are a few US companies that have truly remote that pay US rate but not too easy to find.
Montreal yes there are jobs, But the pay doesn't seem to cross a certain mark. Also I feel the role DevOps itself is so bastardized that every company has it's own requirements Some roles are more networking focussed and looking over the roles for the past few weeks every requirement is totally different . I am not sure if I can be the trade of all Jack's

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
Companies are very unlikely to offer this as it'll greatly complicate the payroll, as they'll need to pay Canada payroll taxes on your behalf, unless you are an independent contractor and deal with it yourself. This is also super unlikely. You should be eligible for the TN visa and can move to the USA for work.
That's true but I'd put one asterisk on that: for companies that already have a presence in CA, it's doable if the role is hard to fill (and top ops roles are)
Why does having a presence in California make a difference?
