Hear a lot of SWEs TC on here but could use some help from the data devs/community. Received an offer from my internship for a data engineering role. I worked as an analytics engineer on a rotating internship for about a year and really like the job and the people I work with. I received an offer to come on full-time as a data engineer upon graduation working on internal analytics and external data integration. Original offer was about 40k with 4500 shares and going up to 70k at one year; negotiated up to 65k for the first year with 3000 shares vesting over four years. Felt good negotiating cause of the future value of the stock and a 20k increase but still blown away by the TC figures I see on blind. Did I end up alright for a first time role? Get hosed? Is it too late to go back and renegotiate? Appreciate the help! TC: 65k Stock: 3k #data #dataanalytics #datascience
We all start somewhere, you negotiated and you got a higher salary. Learn some stuff from your job and interview again in a year.
For a new grad, that’s pretty decent for non FAANG. I started off at 55k after graduation. Switched in <2 years, TC now 168k
Thanks for the input and for sharing. Any tips on what you focused on prior to switching that helped increase your TC?

Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Depends on location. Though I have seen new grads going up to 90k in a medium/low cost of living area as a data analyst. I think that’s a good number. You aren’t doing too bad either
