Looking for inspirations

5' 6'' and was 120 pounds march 2020. I have gained around 20 pounds :( . Last year has been stressful. Stopped hitting gym. Started stress eating. Initially managing my kid until day care opened and couple of big deadlines at work. Trying to get back on track. Any suggestions on what time line I should target to loosing what I have gained. Focused on strength training 2019 and found it mentally and physically very refreshing. Gender F Age 30 Weight 139 BMI 23.5 Fat percent 18 My plans are to start mindful and healthy eating and 30 minutes weight training at home. How soon will I get back to 120 lbs?

Look into iifym as a diet, do compound movements 4-5 days a week: squats, deadlifts, bench. Don't skip legs. Target 1.5 lbs weight loss per week. You'll feel amazing in a month

If you want to keep the weight off then I think you should target 0.5-1 lb of body fat per week. If you need a sustainable diet I think Greg doucette has a great cook book and you can find him on YouTube

You didn't get there over night, you won't go back over night. Weightloss is a marathon, not a sprint. Weight watchers worked for me, pay for their coaching and make sure you have weekly phone calls with your coach to stay accountable

You are not alone! The whole world has some extra baggage to lose this year. Healthy weight loss usually takes 2 months minimum.

About 1 lb a week is a good goal but women's body weight also fluctuates a lot due to hormones so I would add a few more weeks to give yourself a more achievable timeline. Maybe around 25 weeks or so?

May be start slow, cut on extra sugar in tea or coffee, eating less processed, more grain based, check for substitute like less calorie option, increase steps, yoga, walks, weight training Create calorie deficit 100, 200, 400. I think as weather improves more hours to stay consistent and active.
