Hello Blind Community, I am a 2020 graduate with a Masters in Automotive Engineering. I have worked with Tesla as an intern for 7 months and I am currently in search of full-time job opportunities. For quite some time I have been looking for jobs and I had many recruiters ghosting me after multiple rounds of interviews with them. My 90-day clock to find a job is ticking and I would appreciate any help you guys can do. I am looking for jobs in the fields of Hardware Engineering, Test and Validation Engineering, Vehicle Dynamics, ADAS controls, NVH. Any referral in the automotive sector, related supplier companies, independent testing laboratories, testing and validation roles will be helpful. Thank you. #referral #jobsearch #hardware #vehicletesting #automotive #newgrad #Testing #nvh #engineering #graduate #autoindustry #jobopenings #lucidmotors #cruise #nikola #aptiv #ford #fca #auto #byton #rivianautomotive
While I wouldn't recommend Paccar to anyone, it sounds like you're in desperate need of a job and given your experience you're probably going to get accepted of you apply. Check it out and good luck!
I don’t think PACCAR sponsors a work visa. Do they?
As a general rule, no they do not.
What kind of jobs are you applying for? What kind of experience are they looking for? you have a master's degree but what kind of relevant work experience do you have other than school and the internship? Most real companies value work experience more than they do the master's degree.
Also try Apple, they seem to hire folks from Tesla a lot
Check out Ford careers. DM me any relevant jobs. Ford is hiring at the moment.
Ford doesn’t sponsor a visa or hire international graduates directly when I last applied. I got a reject email within 2 minutes of an application clearly showing the visa requirement was not met. Has that changed?
We do. But only for tech and AV

Linked in profile/ resume?
Interested in moving to Europe?
Why didn't Tesla give you return offer?
My team/manager had maxed out on the headcount of new grads that they could hire since most of the January hires reported in august after all the COVID shutdown. other teams were looking for mid-senior level engineers to ramp up things after the slow market for the last 2 quarters.

Would you burn the bridges for 2x salary bump?
Try to get a project under some professor. It will allow you some more time to look for a job.
