Has anyone taken up Doordash or UberEats to supplement their income. I have a pretty flexible day job and working from home. But doesn’t pay that well. It gives me decent work life balance. Before I looked for a job that paid more I wanted to explore opportunities where I could supplement my income. All I’m looking for is like making $1000 a month or so extra. I have a 12 year old Prius, so becoming a Uber/Lyft driver may be out of question. - has anyone done something like this? - What kind of insurance do I need to get? - is there a blog/website on how to get started in gig economy? Any recommendations is greatly appreciated. TC: 120k Location: Seattle
Awful. No. Those poor Uber Eats/DoorDash drivers. That job would be insanely hard. Can you imagine the stress of constantly trying to find a place to park? This would only be do-able is if you live in area where you can bike from point a to point b and your goal is partially about getting exercise. And, they're probably making like 9 dollars an hour.

That sounds horrible just get a new job. You’re making peanuts and want an extra $12k a year. That should be easy to achieve. Hell if you’re an ok performer you may be able to just ask for a $12k raise at your current job
Agreed. But the work life balance I currently have is hard to achieve in a new place. What I’m looking for is an interim option until I’m ready to look for another full time opportunity.
Definitely just ask for a raise then. Should be super easy to achieve
