How do you think the low code trend in addition to companies like Mircosoft using AI like GPT-2 in IDEs for code generation will change tech careers in the near future? https://www.google.com/amp/s/hub.packtpub.com/microsofts-visual-studio-intellicode-gets-improved-features-whole-line-code-completions-ai-assisted-refactoring-and-more/amp/
These things are total bullshit -- PhD in ML
Coding is not the hard part of today’s industry.
It means you will be stuck white boarding LC questions still
I see the same sort of denial here as SWE’s had when claims of work from home would impact wages and the housing market.
I disagree with other comments here, this movement is not bs and actually very useful.. It won't change tech Eng careers, but it'll allow for very simple enterprise solutions that can be built in house by non-coders (think of it like a very complex excel sheet but on steroids). Engineers can use these tools in their work, and even collaborate with non-eng.
Given the quality of M$ human-generated products, I wouldn't worry too much about competition from AI-generated.
