Hi all, It looks like I am heavily underpaid as MLE. Right after grad school, I got my first offer with a TC of 140k, which at that time was beyond my expectation. The position is with one of the telecom companies in NYC with a Hybrid work model. I did not do my research and accepted the offer without negotiation. Now, after about a year, I realized that I am underpaid even within our group. What do you think I should do? They promised me a promotion, but I am not sure how long it will take. I also started LC in January and have solved about 200 questions. I am comfortable with LC medium. Is anyone willing to give me a referral? #tech #apple #linkedin #square #doordash #roku #pinterest #lyft #uber #airbnb #meta
DM for referral. L4 Applied scientist should get north of 200 TC pretty easily.
Actually band starts at 232k now for L4.
Thank you. Will do.
DM for Doordash. Definitely do it. I made the same mistake after grad school and stayed with Accenture for almost 3 years, waiting for a big promotion, never happened. Changed my job and my TC is 3 times more now.
I realized I had to do something when I got a 1% salary increase at the beginning of this year. Thank you. Will DM.

PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
You only need to do mediums and easy ones if you’re going for research positions. L4s in Amazon get 200-250 their first year depending on experience.
Agree. The ones that I have solved are mostly easy and medium questions with a couple of popular hard questions. I am interested more in the applied ML positions.
