Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
YOE: 12, Current TC > 400K/year, L64 Engineer at Microsoft Lowball Ebay Offer MTS2 Base: 222K Stocks: 200K (4 yrs) Bonus: 10% Is it allowed to meet the recruiter and punch him in the face? #ebay #microsoft #amazon #it #swe
Lol pathetic. Should have told the recruiter right there and then that this is embarrassing.
Serious, I am so frustrated that I just want to beat the recruiter 2-3 times :)
Should have asked them salary range before interviewing. Would have saved time
Lol
Levels fyi. Suggests tc isway less than 400k. How's your tc. So Hugh
mine is already > $400K/year how on earth will i go for an offer < $400k second, tc on levels.fyi is per year, he quoted me approx $300/year
It's not the recruiter. All they want to do is get you hired because that's what their performance is based on. They don't give a crap how high your TC is because it's not their money. Blame the company's finance department/salary review board.
No, I think it's the recruiter who wants to lowball me. He was very nasty in discussion and was offending me often
F him then. I don't understand why recruiters want to shoot themselves in the foot by bring rude.
In the previous post you have mentioned your TC is 350, here you are saying itβs >400, dude stick to one thing first :). The recruiter didnβt give any sign on bonus? Also MTS2 bonus is 15% from previous posts.
@OP: what did I do that suggests that I donβt have a life? Just pointed out your inconsistency with the posts. Pls be consistent as it will only help in your own credibility. Sharing your own posts below for reference. Enjoy your job hunt

400 TC is way over anyone makes... So they gave an average Joe offer.. Now if you told them how much you make and they lowballed you, that's another issue
yes, thats what happened....recruiter is an asshole
3 things you could do next time: 1. Hold the offer as long as you can. Tell the recruiter that it is still undecided. If they give you a deadline, ignore it as you wouldnβt accept it anyways. Recruiters are evaluated on how many positions are filled and how quickly. I have seen a case where a candidate even got a formal offer but never signed (no intention to sign in the first place) 2. Fill out the survey. Describe your experience. 3. Send a thank you letter to HM if you get contact info. This would tell them you are not a bad person. You could give them a hint on what happened, too.
With that attitude, the offer doesnβt seem to be a lowball.
And the attitude people constantly get from recruiters is fine?
