Planning to upgrade my iPad to Pro 12.9 What’s a reasonable GB one should go for? All out at 1TB? There is significant price diff between 256, 512 and 1TB. Only thing I am worried about is Apple frequent updates which are know to eat into your storage significantly I don’t plane to have extensive high def videos or anything, nor excessive pictures, as I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max which I mostly use for kids pictures and videos other than my personal phone and email use.
256 + iCloud

Buy 64GB and get an external hard drive, store everything in it. You’ll end up saving all the iCloud subscription fee and have access to photos / videos offline.
What if that precious hard drive fails or gets stolen? Would you keep a backup? How frequently would you backup? What if backup fails too? Is saving $10 a month worth it?
My hard drive is neither stolen nor failed in 5 years. Of course I’ll have a backup in my laptop as well. Saving $10 a month is definitely worth it for me 🤷🏻♂️
256 should be enough to last for a while. If your not saving photos or videos.
Just get a Mac. Ipads for this amount of money is useless
I have a 64 GB older iPad Pro. It's not even half full and I think the newer ones start at 128 GB. If you don't keep lots of videos, photos, or music locally there's no need to pay for the extra storage.
Dude new iPad coming out in March, just wait.
The storage options are a total ripoff from Apple. I bought a 512gb SD card for my Android tablet for $70. Best of all, when I upgrade tablets the memory card moves to the new tablet.
