Recently got a promo code valid for 2 rides to visit Livingwell Health Center. Using the promo code ended up being the biggest PITA. Lyft charged my CC despite having valid promo codes. In addition, my CC was charged a no show fee when the driver decided to bail out going past my location. When I called him about it, he mentioned he exactly knows where my location is and is on his way back to pick me up. Lyft app happily terminated the ride request with absolutely no error. I was like an idiot waiting for 10 more mins and finally ended up requesting another ride. Interestingly the same driver came again and this time picked me up properly & blamed Lyft app for everything. Only cool thing was it's AI/ML based virtual customer support detecting my last ride and automatically addi g the context asking some relevant questions offering me with easy to select responsea. Other than that, despite CS confirming validity if my promo codes and acknowledging the errors along with stating the issues are fixed, my CC got 0 refunds. In contrast, my local cab company is very reliable, trustworthy and never overcharged with phony things. In fact they are cheaper for all my aiport drops and pick-ups. I don't know if I am alone in this or it's just the way the ride sharing supposed to work. Such a PITA. Will never use Lyft again...
Rant in a message to Lyft. If you genuinely feel they tricked you, without any hassle, you will get your money back.. what are you trying to achieve by posting this bulshit on blind?
Exactly!
Blind is like Hacker News: if your rant gets on the front page, someone from said company would reach out.
Lol
I got no show charge too! Same way! Lyft is lame. I did a charge back.
Cool story bro. Use your cab company and be grateful you get a choice.
Of course I would. Some of you kids need to understand the context here : it was a promo code and the specific point is that delivering a bad service doesn't help make any promo... It makes a bad impression and drives customers away instead of gravitating towards the service. Of course I expect Facebook folks not to understand about customers. Why do you care anyways?
You seem really worked up over a very small thing, so just suggesting you relax. Yes it is a bummer when promo codes do not work and clearly that was not their intent. Lyft customer service is great if you want them to right the wrong else keep using taxis if it works better for you and is worth the extra money. Super simple. What are you trying to accomplish by ranting here?
I agree. You think the world centers around you. You’re bitching about a freebie bro, something you usually should pay for. Then slander the company and app because it didn’t work. They would pay you back if you called or did something. You didn’t do anything or it would’ve been solved. Stupid Microsoft.
Nopes. It is not app. Neither is this about freebie.... This also not about world centering around me. Get your facts right. It is about customer satisfaction. Read through my post carefully before making judgement call that I didn't do anything. If you take sometime to read rest of the replies, you soon would understand this being an issue across and unless you fix this shit, soon you gonna look for a job.... Chill out bro. Taking feedback and fixing requires matuirty....
@Lyfted. Why do you blame Microsoft? Lame!
I had trouble using Lyft credit few times. I don’t remember exactly what it was.
Had trouble with Lyft before. I stopped using them after that.
Bingo..
I've noticed Lyft credit are sometime city specific. They will be added to your account successfully, but will only be used if you request a ride in the target city. Make sure you read the description of the promo codes you are using
Dude, you need to improve on your reading comprehension. Why do you even think this is about using wrong promo code or it was about the customer's incorrect reading?
What's pita
Same. I just keep thinking of hummus
Pain in the ass
