Anyone else feel like Lyft prices are up substantially since IPO - greater than 25%. Round trips that used to be 15-20 I feel like are 25-30 consistently now (haven’t used Uber enough recently to compare, is it in the same boat?)
I can attest to that. I use these apps often and Lyft is now costlier than Uber. Both have raised prices.
Now that taxis are dead, these companies are free to charge same or more than what the taxis used to charge. Cut throat!
I used to only use Lyft, now I am using Uber more since a lot of the time it's cheaper.
Thanks, I’m on your train just a few cars behind
Opposite for me. Lyft used to be always more expensive, now they are sometimes cheaper than Uber, especially trips from airport.
Are you in SF/Bay Area (if so where, if you don’t mind)/elsewhere?
Same with uber
Just that they are retiring promos and discounts.
Is this a “feel” thing or a “quantifiable” thing
I haven’t been recording prices over time (wish I did). The routes I usually take seem like they’ve increased quite a bit from six months ago. If someone has log data that’d be great, but I’m guessing no one not at Lyft does, and they are probably not going to share. So because I can’t actually quantify, I’m wondering if anyone else has perceived similar. Any improvements to wording of question are welcome
Don’t they email a receipt?
