Received an offer from Discover Financial Services at base pay of 125k 6 YOE Has anyone been offered similar Total Compensation for Application Engineer position? Any suggestions to negotiate? Thanks in advance
Very low. But what are you doing to do it's a bank For clarity Amex Chase Capital One will do 160k for sr engineer 6 yoe. The difference is negligible in the grand scheme of switching to tech jobs, but if you're going to work in a bank that's a 25% pay cut.
Good in my opinion. Mine is 102k with 7 yoe 7% bonus.lol
Wow what a loser !
I know ..lol
As a salary range, seems like you are on the average pay for that grade. It will also depends on how your interview went and how strong is your white board session. For Discover with 125k, plus 7% bonus and I guess about 8% 4001k company contributions, this is a good offer. These days offers just not depend on YOE alone.
There is room for negotiation. Try it out
I agree. Negotiate up $5000.
As a 3.5 yoe, I got 140k base. Try to negotiate as much as you can.
140k base would be good
Op did you take the offer. I have technical 45 mins interview coming up. Not sure what to expect from it
I have received an offer too, still waiting on numbers.
I received an offer based base pay 132k
Did you negotiate?
Is thre joining bonus
Seems pretty low
