Crossed a line with my boss
A friend of mine who did semester long coops at Amazon, Tesla went to the Microsoft booth at his career fair and he said that the recruiter told him that MS has filled new grad slots and are not looking to hire any new grads till January 2020. Is this a rumor or is this indeed correct?
Yes
Probably, it is less than a year away
Do not quote on me. I feel there has been a shift that is to turn interns into new grads hires instead of hiring new grads directly.
This is not new or unique to Microsoft. Most companies try to fill up as many slots with intern converts as possible.
I imagine 2019 hiring for new grads in summer 2019 is done but I can’t imagine 2020 new grad summer hiring is done lmao 😂
2019 grads start in may. 2020 interns are in their last year and will join in may of 2020. What's funny here?
Infosys and Wipro hiring fresh grads 🤣
I don't think this is true since I just got an offer last week from Microsoft. I remember that there were still a few people interviewing while I was doing my onsite as well.
A bunch of companies have already hired anyone they need for the 2019 recruiting season.
I know of Google since they have removed all new grad positions from their careers page except SRE . Which others? Amazon is still hiring since their recruiter approached me.
In general companies don't want people who don't have a job within a couple months of graduating since it implies they couldn't get a job anywhere. So unless the company is in a huge need for people they have stopped recruiting seniors for 2019
