MSFT offer. Negotiating levels
Got a verbal offer from MSFT yesterday. I have 10 YOE and I aced the interviews. Planning to talk with recruiter about what level they plan to bring me in. What level - 63 or 64 should I be placed at?. Is level 65 too much to ask for. Sr PM role. @Microsoft

Afaik, at MS exact levels are decided after everyone agrees on your compensation. So if you make them agree to pay you at 65 range, you’ll get 65 automatically.

Nope. Might be true till 61, but definitely not true from 62+. You need to reinterview for upleveling anything above 62
Level is typically not something that is negotiable after you interview.
