Manager - Micromanaging like 3 one - o - one in a day!! Please help π
Hi Blind Community, I am working in OCI - 1.6 years experience. I posted earlier how my manager has been worse. I have been in the same situation since then where my manager is micromanaging for last 2 months, it has been a very difficult time for me, affecting my physical and mental health. He Organize like 3 sessions, ask me to update him before signing off, whatever I say he ask me to write a documentation so that he can discuss later. Things have been hard, in December I had a break down, I cried, and things went worse. I have reached out to higher level, but they said no team change and asked me to resolve the situations on my own, I tried but I guess my manager loves it. Even my team members have suggested me to make a switch, since everyone is facing the same issue. Finally to make my new year NEW, I am planning to switch my job, any person out there, hiring. I am open to any location, I would love to connect with you. Actually all being treated in some or other way the same, not sure they might be looking to switch too, since they recommended me.
Are you Cerner? They just bought you all out. They (OCI) should be treating you good right now. If they arenβtβyou need to leave ASAP.
This might be a Midwest thing but I've never had shitty managers. Infact I've always looked forward to my 1:1s cos they have always been about how the manager can help the IC.
Are you having trouble delivering or showing independence? Is there productivity ?
Yes there has been productivity!! Even my team members after seeing my situation suggested me to change the team or look for a different job, since manager has been too hard on everyone.
