I'm a L5 SDM @Amazon. One of my direct employee under me is not performing upto the SDE-1 bar for about 3 months.
His yoe @Amazon is 2 yrs as f now.
Before moving on him into Pivot, I would like to put him into dev plan as per the Amazon process.
/ A / During the 3 month window as well, I felt like I micromanaged him a lot. I kept mailing him regarding daily updates/ pointing fingers for every mistakes that he did etc.. / A /
1. Am I in any sense look like a bad Manager? Because of point / A /?
2. What further steps should I make?
