So I’m delivering all my tasks in focus on time manager thinks differently, on my weekly email paper trail I’m getting “coming to standup late” when I came like 2 minutes late two times and “not burning points” for sprints (this is like two times) so pretty sure he’s trying to pipe me. I’m doing leetcode and went to final round with Walmart and a prop trading shop but didn’t get it. I don’t have visa issues but I’m going crazy thinking I’d be unemployed with a sick spouse . I’m planing for FMLA (I’m in NY) but not sure if disability pay applies to me. I have a call with Meta/ Microsoft/ DoorDash recruiters but not sure if I’ll be rejected given the way this focus and recent rejections is playing with my head. Not sure what to do. Blind Tax: 180 TC, YOE:3
wtf. You guys also have a weekly email trail where such things are written?
Yeah, I actually delivered a task that has a big impact in my org and the feedback is “you’re not burning points”
That’s messed up. I haven’t experienced this before. Leave! There are good companies with good people out there. Btw you mentioned Walmart. Most orgs in Walmart also have this kinda culture
Yo, dm me I will refer you to Airbnb if you find a matching role. Fuck Amazon and fuck that manager who looks like is building a case to kick you out. Hope your wife feels better soon.
Thanks , I didn’t find anything at my level at Airbnb:( but love the support
When you are on focus or pip, their entire job is to be a lawyer and find faults for dismissal. This is what the job is. Literally the only sensible thing for you is to stop working, start looking elsewhere but continue to collect paychecks. If you are really up for this, you could leave projects half done while BSing in status reports. This is because they will have to deal with half-assed buggy services once you are out. Let it cause outages and tank that management.
Lol your manager sounds like a dick but you’ll be fine in the long run
Stop showing up late?
I would recommend replying back to the email and mention your side of the story. Say you completed the hard part but were delayed on administrative task. The more you push back maybe your manager will understand you will not let them throw you under the bus easily.
Spouse at 3 YoE. Okay.
And you’re probably married to your hand so STFU.
Well sounds like they are achieving their exact goal, which is to get you out of this company.
