Went through PSC last month. Manager seemed very stressed as the team couldn't get promos due to lack of metric impact. I was one of those people whose promo didn't go through. Now when I talk about promo, skip is nit picking, like even if you get the metrics, we may find gaps in execution (I asked some questions about project resources, apparently doing a project retrospective and asking hard questions is a gap) and stop your promo. Manager seems totally checked out and seems to be not interested in either the work or career growth discussions. Just keeps saying we need the metric impact, although it it kind of impossible to hit these goals (r&d project with technical reasons why these cannot be hit). I worked quite hard and feeling very down and demotivated. Started prepping for interviews. Do you have any thoughts on my situation? Is this how managers behave when they are invested in your growth? Unfortunately I don't have a mentor to talk about this with. please do not troll Yoe 5 TC 220k Level SWE IC4
