Wondering if any of you have experience with this? On the workday information section we’re meant to fill out our marital status. Would it be okay to put “Single” if previously divorced? I hate marking myself as divorced, as I have no tie to my ex partner, and am not legally bound to them at all. I’ve been divorced for 4 years. I’m wondering if marking “single” would have negative implications from an HR perspective if they were to find out I was previously married? #Onboarding #workday #Facebook
Of course the company is Facebook, they have no understanding of privacy.
Maybe for tax reasons so if you file individually put single
It may potentially be related to benefits. Some employer sponsored savings and insurance plans may need this i formation to calculate premiums or manage beneficiary designations.
At Amazon, you don't have to disclose. It'll just say unknown.
You should have an option to not disclose. Also "single" is technically correct.
Not disclosing isn’t an option. It’s a required field :/
