STAR method is huge with faang. Based on your current experience, pick out a few examples that make the most sense to explain using STAR (campaign success/failure, research success/failure, creative design success/failure, etc).
Def need a referral. Will be hard to get an interview if you don’t have a tech background
There’s some consumer marketing teams (which maps closer to what you’re doing) so I’d check out those roles. Also some demand gen on the smb advertising side. Product marketing is its own thing, but if it explicitly says consumer product marketing that could count too.

What's the right role for Faang in marketing for someone from CPG Brand Management?
I came from CpG brand management, I'm in marketing at Google now and have done B2B, and devices & services consumer marketing here. They like our backgrounds as it gives really strong foundations, good strategic experience and resilience, familiarity with fast paced environment etc.
I worked for 6 months as a Content Designer in the Sales org and it was totally dysfunctional. Endless pointless meetings. Constantly shifting priorities. No process. Everyone seemed to be desperately in fear of poor reviews. I quit as fast as possible.
You said it. Totally not worth being anywhere in the ads space.
How about Insights on product marketing both at the lead and manager level? What do people actually do because I find product marketing to be defined differently depending where you go.
