Do you folks have individual auto insurances, or add-on on one or the other’s? What are the pros/cons?
Single policy, two cars, two drivers
I was told (not verified), if you’re married and live together in CA, you need to have both in the insurance.
Negative. Policy language is determinative. If you read Geico’s policy, for instance, there is nothing there than requires disclosure or listing of cohabiting spouse on your policy.
Same understanding as what eBay mentioned and confirmed that with Geico
In most standard policies, your spouse is automatically a named insured. So entitled to full coverage. Usually better to have both on the same.
