My background is Senior/Staff PM at a fintech and previously swe. Currently interviewing with MasterCard. What’s the wlb and pay like? Current TC is 190k base, 40k/year in stock. I have around 8 yoe. I’m based in nyc if that changes anything.
all VPs from RiskRecon are ICs too and they flex on Linkedin—losers.
Won’t be much higher only the bonus will be good usually around 40-50k for director level
In NYC your base can get a hair over 200K but probably not much over. Target bonus will be 27% of base. About 70% of Director levels get stock each year so it’s not guaranteed and likely not a huge award even if you do get it. WLB is pretty great in my experience and the benefits such as 401K are some of the very best in the world. PM me if you have any more specific questions
What you have mentioned is accurate. The part you're leaving out is the toxic culture and politics first environment.
Aside from the pay which is addressed already, the WLB is excellent. Even the highest stress areas are very chill compared to previous roles at different companies.
Cliff notes: pay is ok but not as good as an actual tech company. WLB is very good, 401k match is excellent. Culture sucks and there's a TON of turnover (because of the toxic environment). There's a lot more checking the box than there is getting the stuff done. I just handed in my 2 weeks. Not a bad place, but there's much better
Hey! I'm trying to understand if there are any constraints after giving notice, would appreciate any insights if you can share. Any idea if it is possible to give 2 weeks notice and then take a vacation by using up the remaining vacation days?
Out of curiosity, is the toxicity because of the pandemic or was it always bad?

Maybe $225-250k tops. The RSU awards suck. Go to a real tech company instead.
$225-$250k base or TC?
I’m guessing TC, maybe a tad higher but a Director role there is more of an IC position or low level manager. It’s not equivalent to Director in Tech.
