Maternity Leave
Does anyone know of companies in the Bay Area that do not require a 1 year waiting period to receive full paid maternity leave? And if so, how much time off do they offer?
Netflix. 1 year. 100%.
Amazing benefit. Any catch? Do people really take a whole year off?
It’s up to the individual and the manager to work it out. Different people need different things. Some people take the whole year at 100% off. Some do some part-time work. Some cycle on/off various months over the year. There’s no one answer as there is no one way to do a maternity/paternity leave.

Facebook. I was eligible for family leave on day 1 (and my son was born just a couple of weeks after I started), so the same presumably applies for maternity leave.

Salesforce doesn’t. 6 months at 80% pay
