Or they consider their employees as their pet. https://www.businessinsider.com/lyft-ceo-staff-should-return-to-office-for-snacks-wfh-2023-7
Free food is a great pull for employees. He's smart
Ask each director to announce free lunch to their teams once or twice a week, then post after pics of people stuffing their face and posing V sign with leaders on the team channel along with some inside jokes, and I guarantee you will have 75% of folks coming in after 3-4 weeks. For spending a few 100 $$, it's a great ROI
He is offering carrots with a light dip as snacks. That is not even food. At least other ceos have the courtesy to say in-office lunches 😡
It’s almost as if they’re trying to save on severance by making employees’ lives more difficult with the hope that some of them quit… if you are taking this at face value then you are a 🤡 Lyft has never been profitable yet paid people half million dollar salaries lmfao
You win the internet for figuring this one out
They offered me a million dollar TC, actually, when they were shortly pre-IPO. I turned it down because it seemed unlikely that the IPO would go well since the business fundamentals just weren't there. I am no Warren Buffett, but I don't think you needed to be to see that Lyft was a dud.
Do they get a Lyft to the office
Wait yeah you're right, commute shouldn't be an issue for them.
They don’t. No Lyft credits, only a Lyft pink membership I believe
Low cost layoffs. Nothing to see here.
They have a building + laid off people without laying off
Just forcing us to quit of our own volition; this is risher's plan. It's an open secret here.
Just chill and do nothing until they actually figure it out and get rid of you. Not worth sweating for this loser.
Anyone who was applying critical thinking skills knew this was going to happen from the onset, and that remote was never going to be sustainable long term
Ah yeah, it’s definitely not sustainable. That’s why so many companies still offer it and Meta/Google/Netflix/AirBnB/… all cancelled their remote workers and called them back🤔
Why is remote work unsustainable?
For the bananas
Ngl I think some people should self reflect because this line of thinking is the same type y'all display to your uber drivers, gardeners, servers etc etc..it comes down to leverage and entitlement when you feel you have more money and power than someone..I'm not saying it's right but i bet more of y'all would do the same as this CEO if yall were in their positions
A gardener can not be remote. Uber driver can not be remote. A software engineer can be.
I don't know if youre purposefully ignoring my point but to simplify it for you....people who give you money sometimes choose to make you jump through unneeded hoops
Most live in a completely different reality to the rest of us and they are oblivious to it
That’s why most of them became CEOs. They’d rather die than be a regular nobody of a person.
@reddit, just because we can't understand both scientists and mad people doesn't mean both are intelligent... And yes, mad people would rather die than be a regular nobody of a person
