You drove 20k miles in just 1.5 years? Omg!

You can buy the filters from Amazon and change them yourself. They cost about $20-$30 each. And there are hundreds of tutorials on YouTube.

Seems too much imho. Do they have the cost breakdown for each item on the list?

Most parts are not expensive, but the labor associated with them is.

Yea you live in a high cost of living area, so that makes sense. I’m in Seattle and it would roughly cost 800 without CarPlay installed. CarPlay costs 400 so I think it adds up to roughly the same. I know brake pads are expensive, though. I’d recommend finding a local reliable trustworthy mechanic if you can - at least you won’t be forced to paying for things you don’t need

I found an independent mechanic and the prices are better. After a certain point, I also stopped doing the “60K mile service” altogether and just changed fluids on the manual’s schedule. I have a 2010 Mazda 3 with 210K miles so they will last. Also, switch the air filter yourself, that is a 5 minute job once you get the hang of it. The cabin air is trickier but still not bad.

Seems high... Try shopping around. I'm used to paying about half that.

Way too high for a Mazda
