I've heard about recruiters using a "nominal performance bonus" in the TC breakdown for McAfee. Anybody at McAfee can attest that this isn't a trap and it accurately represents TC in your experience? I know most of blind will say it shouldn't be counted unless it's on the contract but I'm curious about peoples experiences with "nominal" performance bonus which you know about up front. FYI, I don't have an offer, just curious #mcafeecompensation
I have burned by recruiters lying about the bonus. The right question is this: what has been the actual bonus paid for this position for the past three years? This gives you specific number for your position over a period of time. If they danced around it and try not to answer, then you know something is not right.
Is that annual bonus? Generally annual and quarterly bonuses where paid at 130% during my time there (very recent)
Wdym "paid at 130%"? Do you mean they raised your salary by 30%?
No like annual and quarterly bonus target paid at 130%
So nominal means target I would assume. It is based on two things: company performance and your individual performance. And yes, we have paid out roughly 125% of the company portion this last year.
Yes the bonus is real and it gets paid every year. I’ve been here 15+ years and it is real
Why would you move from Amazon to McAfee?
Curious about how they tell you what the nominal bonus is and if it's something that can be relied on. Feels like a trap... Considering where I currently work...
