Would you be ok with your kids having both your wife’s and your last names (wife’s last name first).. also comment on whether you will be ok with your wife not changing her last name after marriage

My wife floated that idea. I said why both, let the baby have only your last name. That way I m free to pursue other women and not be overly obligated to be monogamous with her.
Well, that escalated quickly
@Veal he is right. If you put wife's last name, people will easily associate that with single mother status and men will pursue her because it makes it look like she doesn't have a partner.
Everyone having different names just makes things so ridiculously complicated.
Filling out forms, addressing envelopes, correcting people when they call you Mr. and Mrs. Jones. No, sorry and it is Mr. Jones and Mrs. Smith. And the kids are Jones-Smith.
@ijyA68, There are many different traditions for naming children in the world. Did you want the diversity? Here you are 😉
you missed another option
One of my (girl) friend's fiance (guy) said he was going to change HIS last name to hers. But then the girl lied about everything, so not sure if really true.
What a loser is your friends fiancé !
If it's a girl, name her <your wife's name> Jr 😀
I don't know why this isn't a thing and I suggested this to my wife if we have a girl but she doesn't want to do it.
Tbh, I find naming your son Jr a bit weird. It's almost like you want a clone. Ditto for your daughter. I was being flippant in my comment.
You can also just give them any random last name.
Also after hearing my wife complain so much about how much of a hassle changing her last name was, I'm not really looking to do that just for fun.
Do what's best for your kids.
Don’t do this to your kid. No one wants to be friends with the hyphenated guy.
