Has anyone had experience contracting with Meta via contingent workforce experience? Benefits seem decent (401K, health, dental, etc.). Of course no bonus or equity, but opportunity to work on their marketing team seems too good to pass up.
Which vendor to contact for Meta contract roles?
Any body shop will have a contact with Meta
I worked at RL through a vendor who provided benefits.
I worked for 2 years as a contractor before getting converted to full time. The pay and benefits is decent and pretty standardized no matter which vendor you’re under. It’s a decent way to get your foot in the door and internally (on your day to day with your team) you will be treated like everyone else- it’s a good feeling until you see the double edge sword that is working just as much as your FTE peers and getting paid less overall. Often the contractors work even harder then everyone else looking for a shot at converting and it becomes very apparent during PSC season when you see peers getting bonuses, promotions, refreshers etc; while contractors most likely won’t even be eligible for an hourly raise. It is a good job and a great place to be, it just hits you after a while that it doesn’t seem fair- at least that was my experience.
They pay 40% less than other clients for the same work
