Collectively, how diverse is the product design team from a gender perspective? I have interviewed with 6 designers at this point and all have been male. Coincidence or representative of design at Meta?#
Isn’t design typically the most gender balanced “tech” profession?
May be they are trying to change that by hiring you? And You judge them because they don’t have enough women.
I think PD is probably 55%-60% male, 40-45% female. Now CD/CS on the other hand is like 90%+ female.

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
That’s something I noticed as well. My entire interview loop (across 6 interviews, on-site + first round) was all white male men. It makes me think they have a diversity issue for sure.
Don’t they have like 80k employees? Probably just random luck that your interviewers were distributed like that.
Thats (1/2)^6 = 1.56% of a chance if we say gender is equally balanced. 🤷
