Hi, I recently had an onsite with Meta for E4. I bombed one of the coding rounds. I was asked to do one more coding round because of this. Was this decision taken before or after debrief? #software #swe #engineering #meta Can I expect an offer if I do this well? Update: I got positive feedback π
Probably you completely messed up thecoding round, rest of the interviewers gave a hire/strong hire so the hiring committee wants to get some more data points to make a decision. Good luck π€
What was asked share the question
There is a divergence. One interviewer gave hire and other gave no hire. So they need a third data point to break the tie.
Since when are they that lenient?
If you got a strong hire but lean no hire, they give extra chance. They dont give chance to lean hire and lean no hire scrub candidates like you. Its not lenient at all
You must ace the extra interview to make the doubt go away
Forget why you got it. Make sure that you ace the last round. You should be in!
How was the system design round ?
Okay ish
Was it a lc hard or med ?
Med
OP, when was your onsite?
How was the extra coding interview? Was it easy / difficult compared to previous rounds?
Same
How much did you bombed?
Solved only 1 of 2 in that round
Hope you just didnβt give up. How much you tried and explained your thought process matters, itβs a good sign you got another chance. gl!
