Hi folks, I just got an email confirmation of an offer for Meta IC5. Don’t know the exact compensation details but I’m very stoked about the offer. I need help from folks decide between pillar preferences: Apps: Facebook FoA Foundation Generative AI Instagram Messenger WhatsApp Privacy Cross-Meta Foundations (XF) Pillar: Monetization Central Products Infrastructure Which one of these is an easy no brainer choice? I also have 2 ongoing interviews with Nvidia but the whole process is extremely disorganized and I have to constantly message recruiters to get an update. Do you think it’s worth trying to get an offer with Nvidia and use that to negotiate? What is a higher band I can easily negotiate for at Meta? I preferred Nvidia because the jobs are remote - what are the changes of managers giving an approval for remote work after a certain time at meta? Do you think it’s better to stay for a year and then boomerang to E6? I don’t want to live in CA longer than 2 years because I plan on getting married somewhere else by then. Remote not only depends on the manager, but the org work strategy and if it makes sense for the role. TLDR, I wouldn’t expect/rely to be getting remote approval at this time, even though it’s possible. The requirements iirc is to be 18months working at Meta and E4/5+
Thanks. Yes I've heard of the 18 month rule, and worst case scenario that is fine. Is there a specific org that you think will be most chill with it? Also any recommendations from the list above? Need to choose my top 3 soon
nothing to say about remote, have no idea. From the options you can split them into: Apps, Ads, Privacy, Infra Privacy: Meta is suing FTC which creates 100% of our useless privacy work. I completely hate everything related to it, and I hope this org dies TBH. About apps: much dependent on lots of alignment and BS privacy work, you have the opportunity to work with the most variety of XFNs etc Ads: from previous posts seems to be the most cut-throat culture. You can get a lot and lose a lot (including your WLB) Infra: seems to be the most chill? No BS work, internal customers, not a lot of alignment needed?

It's deleted. Do you remember the breakdown?
Having a counter offer is definitely worth it. Pls update when you get offer numbers. Try to shoot for 225k base, 900k stock (4 years) and 100k sign on. That seems to be the upper band, or it might be a little higher than that even.
Thanks! Do I just ask for that from my recruiter? Then they match me with the max offer they can provide I guess?
Get a counter offer first, then ask the recruiter to move offer to the numbers I specified.
Did you get the offer from today’s hiring committee decision?
I believe it was on tuesday when I got the email. Official offer details will be given after team match
how long did it take for hr to get back to you after your virtual onsite? also keep us updated with the offer details
Please update us with numbers OP
OP, what’s your yoe?
Congrats! How were the interviews? Any tips? Also, what's your yoe? I'm in the beginning stage of interviews but not sure if I can get E5 since my yoe is 4.5. But I am senior at tiktok though.
Did you get E5 with 2 years of full time experience? Thats great.
Well I had experience before I graduated from Co-Ops and tech work during college to pay the tuition :)
