Hello! Made it to final round but didn't get the job but I did get the comp details. Sharing in case anyone is considering being an EA (Executive Assistant) at Meta or other FAANG and want an idea of comp. In my opinion. that comp is actually too low for Menlo Park area. YOE: 6 (supporting senior executives - VP - C-Level) Education: Bachelor Location Considered: Menlo Park, CA Base: 105K Bonus: 15% RSU: 25K over 4 years Relocation: Yes (but no details until offer) Signing Bonus: $0 #meta #executiveassistant #salarytransparency
What?! Wow, I had no idea TC was this low. Even for C-level? That's honestly offensive, this is pissing me off. EA work is complex and often grueling. Terrible that it's so low.
If you think about it at the task level (output and responsibility) there might be a slight premium for "executive" assistant compared to non-exec but it shouldn't be dramatic.
Don't want to go into reasoning but there's a lot of supply for EA.
I was offered $135 for the same position details, only 4 YOE and no degree.
Thanks for the insight.
While the pay is low, the OT is huge and the environment is amazing!
Agree. Agree. Agree!
Are you sure 25k? That’s $4 million in stock. Do you mean 2,500?
Are they hiring remote EAs?
A meta recruiter responded to my application! She gave me the details for comp and it was 95K for Georgia; The rest was the same as you posted. She told me about the 3 assessment interviews coming up next. How was those for you? Do you remember any of the questions they asked? That is being scheduled for me for next week.
Hey, How was your interview? Did you get the job/accept the offer? Any tip or advice to give? I have an interview next week, I've been preparing but it's nice to have a little insight
Didn't get the job The assessment interviews were with four EAs. They were awesome. They asked relevant questions related to my skill specific to being an EA and the role; they were very warm and gracious. I got advanced to the final round to interview with a team but then meta canceled the position. I hope everything goes great for you!
Meta seems to be pretty known for under-paying their EAs (similar to Amazon). I've heard similar experiences.
how much should EAs get paid?
All depends on the industry, yoe, level of support, responsibility beyond basic EA work, seniority, etc. Lots of factors. In tech I've seen TC anywhere from $60k-$300k+ depending on how much your manager & company values EAs.
