So Meta is hiring freeze, but they’re still hiring thru such shady recruitment agencies? If anyone is interested in this DM me I’ll give you contact. #meta
Contractors are an easy way to get work done then cut off if budget constraints happen.
Some of my LinkedIn connections recently posted that they started working at Meta (3-4 months into hiring freeze )
When a company freezes hiring they usually do not rescind accepted offers, and individuals who require sponsorship can take a couple of months to on-board. This is why you still see a lot of people announcing that they are starting new roles at Google, etc. Companies that are laying off like Robinhood may rescind offers - but a freeze is not the same as a layoff.
I am not able to understand that there's been a record hiring by big tech for new grad roles , atleast in India. Those are being onboarded now. Why are companies having hiring freezes , but filling new grad headcount ?
What’s orange people ?
These are contract employees and this is quite common in tech companies.
