#product #productmanager #pm I have a Product sense/execution interview scheduled for tomorrow with Meta. I am fairly comfortable with the process of creating/executing a value stream (from my work experience) for a SaaS product but I am not an instagram user, I am facebook stalker-user and I have laughably minimal knowledge about facebook features (other than posting/scrolling thru news feed, marketplace) and zero knowledge about the working on instagram. If I get asked how would you increase profitability of x feature/ or enhance news feeed in FB today, I am sure I would go "what?". Is it worth going thru Meta interviews? Is there a site/blog post that I can study up that explains some basic features of these platforms so I have a minimal working knowledge of the primary use case of these features, which I can build upon using common sense?
Push back your interview. A basic knowledge of Meta products will help your performance.
Lol this has to be an ad. Product Alliance is a royal waste of money
Good luck tomorrow! Hiring is frozen indefinitely, so if you pass interviews you’ll be on hold for a bit.
Thank you. I assumed so too but want to give it my very best shot, if not for anything, but out of respect for the interviewer's time and effort. Honestly though, I do want to crack it :)
how did the interview go?
The product sense should have gone well but I sort of bombed it. For execution, I had a not so friendly interviewer but that went well.. I strongly think I won't be invited for the next round. The second interviewer's attitude dampened my enthusiasm. So that's the 'grapes are sour' story I am telling myself 😜
Is this L5 or L6?
I am really not sure tbh. This is my first time interviewing with one of these FAANG companies. I am current a Sr. Product Marketing mgr with 15 yrs experience.
