Hi, I just had some rounds of interviews at Meta and for all intents and purposes I did really well (both interviewers were engaged and liked my assessment of product sense and analytical) but I still got the rejection. I was interviewing for L5/L6 product manager position. Does anyone have any background on this? Is Meta only hiring experienced product managers? TC: 710k 9 YoE
After how many days they send rejection?
Meta L5 would be half your TC, L6 would be 10-15% lower. Your comp is bottom L7 fresh offers or L6 with some heavy stock appreciation. Looks like Broadcom stock has also gone up quite a bit over the last few years so unless your skills has also level uped in the same multiples, would be tough to get a match And yes meta is only hiring experienced PMs right now. Mostly in L5-7 range. Very hard to find L7 roles. Lots of applicants given it's one of the few FAANGs hiring at reasonable scale and above market comp (in this market)
I’d be willing to take an L6 offer because for all intents and purposes I do get that I would take a comp cut wherever I go. The question is just how much lmao
