If you had Google or Facebook on your resume 3 years ago, it could have opened so many doors. Is it still the same case for Meta?
Yeah still adds value
He asks if it’s better than the rest of FANG, I would say no.
If stock price and market cap was the only factor then working for Saudi oil cos would be one of the most sought after jobs
Lol, true. In fact, I see $META is on Black Friday sale, early. Our MCap/Revenue=2. Far better than many
Everyone knows the hiring bar is higher at those places even though the stock tanked.
Meta is still a tech juggernaut, of course it bodes well for one’s resumé. Mark’s pivot to the metaverse was mostly the result of industry headwinds (thanks Tim), and says nothing about the acumen or talent of metamates
They overhired and many engineers also came via startup acquisitions, leading to a much much lower bar. Google and Meta on your resume is nice, but not nearly as good as it was 5 years ago.
I refuse to believe this isn’t a troll comment.
News flash: when reviewing resumes, nobody is considering stock values of the companies you worked for and measuring YOU against it. They don't have the time to think that damn deep when reviewing dozens or hundreds of resumes. If they did then no one would ever get hired at any company ever again because there's not one company in the history of Alexander Hamilton's financial system that didn't suffer drops in stock value. Do you have the experience for the job and can you demonstrate them? Yes? Great. Stop overthinking it.
It still opens lots of doors 🚪

Metamate- cringe max posts by this wannabe influencer
Why wouldn’t it be nothing has changed
Cuz meta started doing bad only recently. I am sure 90%+ employees were employed when Meta was the top. So no changes in terms of talents before and now
Doing bad where? Company still super profitable. According to your logic Netflix snap and bunch other companies should be bad on resume because stocks drop?
