I gave 2 onsite coding for meta some days ago, please vote according to information below Coding 1: Super easy, solved both questions in an optimal way Coding 2: Very difficult, solved the first question in a sub-optimal way. Then the interview asked if it could be improved. I provided the optimal solution, explained it with tests. Now, second question, I was able to solve it with 2-3 minutes remaining. The interviewer again asked a follow-up question which totally derailed my thoughts. I answered it incorrectly. Then he asked "whether you have questions for me". Then the answer clicked to me, I wrote a one liner to explain the gist of the solution but he said "that's okay". Do you think he was satisfied? #meta #interview
Do you mind sharing the LC questions? Were they from the last 6 months meta tagged?
First round yes, all LC tagged with minor variation. Second round, none of them tagged, probably were medium-hard difficulty.
@Amazon can you please tag them or post them?
I think you are safe. How long have you been waiting for the response? When did your onsite happen ?
It's just been 2-3 days from onsite, I think it takes 1-2 weeks to get the results.
Let me know how it goes had about the same experience as you but there was no second question on coding round 2. Got a tree question.
Perfect doesn’t exist, in the worst case I believe you’ll have an additional coding interview. Praying for you!
Thanks
What level?
Most probably E4
Did you hear back?
Hey OP, did you hear back?
Update?
Even if he is not satisfied this shouldn't be a reason to reject you tbh. You were able to solve and were at least able to see the solution.
Hope you are right! 🤞
