I am hearing rumors that Meta is open to rehiring people that were laid off if there is a match to a specific role. Does anyone know how to find out more about those? If you have tips please share or DM. #tech #layoffs #meta
Meta is about to lay off more people…search any news outlet. Not saying you’re wrong but this sounds doubtful in the context of more layoffs coming
How is this a rumor? It’s a known fact. I have re-hired someone that was part of the layoffs and other teams have as well. You just can’t be re-hired for the same exact role, as that would be out of compliance
Didnt meta say it is about to lay off middle managers? Is it going to swap them with engineers?
The only official things Mark said is "org flattening" all the rest is gossip.
Lay off middle managers ? What are you watching ? Happens only in movies
There have been public comments to remove people from the managerial chain since there are many people with just 1-3 reports and min standard to follow would be 6-7
I heard no H1B
New rumor?
Hopefully
Can someone refer me. I got laid off in November. I am an IC.
You worked there and don’t already have former coworkers who would refer you?
My whole team was impacted. Whole floor you can say. And I was there for few months only. If you can't help, at least don't be rude.
Need to know about the opportunities as well. Please let us know OP
Even if they rehire, would I go to Meta? Definitely not
Can someone refer me. Have years of business analytics and marketing science experience.
Commenting to follow. Laid off product infra messenger TPM
There’s a less noisy way to follow/get notifications about posts, consider using it.
When you have to comment to follow- just say something else - like “it’s good weather today “ people will think it’s wired - but purpose will be served. Or you can just click / tap on the bell icon on top right corner.
