Geez … to give some credit , meta has done some great stuff , amazed by their recent machine learning achievement… the stock fall is so brutal . The biggest problem is that they hired so many non-business-sense , non-real-problem-solving , very-cocky-high-pay-young-leecode monkeys .. they really need get ride of those toxic “talent”..

It’s a business problem, not a talent problem
Business problem comes from talent problem . When you hire people whose sole expertise is to repeat leecode , they will have no bigger picture in their mind to solve real business problems …
The business people don't do leetcode. That's for us SWEs. The SWEs I work with are top notch. We just don't know what to do with the talent. We have a leadership/business problem. Tiktok and Apple squeezing our business. Tiktok because they do have good talent, but Apple because they have leverage.

They have too much non technical talent. It should be engineering first. The soft stuff is easy to figure out.
Even from hardware architecture side, they published some interesting work. But People on street don't understand research, all they care is "margins"
All they should care about is margins aka profit They are investing in Meta business not Meta university , that publishes research
Don't you see that as an issue. In that case then people only look to milk more money out rather than introducing something novel. See google and meta, their revenue comes just from ads. Seems contrary, not supporting meta or against it, but encouraging research is also important.
I am horrible at LC. I haven't put in the time and all place I've worked at (mainly smaller places) don't do LC interviews. I have like 10 YOE. I'm also a fairly average technical senior dev. Still, I care about code quality, test coverage, helping others, and doing consistent good work. I have a solid business sense. I think about processes and how to improve them. I look out for people. I try to motivate those around me. I try to level up others. I feel like I'm super valuable, but I don't want to go through all this BS.
You don’t make the rule, do you ? If you need more money or work for them, the first thing is to prepare for the interview the way they do it

Agreed , they need to hire more technical folks with business sense , understanding the market and what is needed . They have too many cocky monkeys . To be fair, you need some of those Monkey for PR purpose . But you need real geeks and real business people to make a great tech company . Not LC junks

Most of those guys are not even in meta or worked there.. meta has som business priorities to sort out and technical talent is there to do whatever it needs. I’ve read many papers written by Facebook and checked couple of their open source projects, the work is amazingly good
I’m pretty sure it’s a business problem not tech, but what do you know.
