Hi guys, Want to check if it is happening to me only or people start to get this this week. I recently passed E4 interview in Feb and I've been waiting for team matching. So far I got 2 team matchings but didn't work out. So I end up open to any team and location except RL. Today, I got a voice mail from my recruiter and she said Meta will stop my team matching because I rejected the initial offer (I think My recruiter did something wrong here. She started a offer process even though I didn't say Yes to the 2nd team matching). I rejected the 2nd team matching 3 weeks ago due to different skillsets and no interest in RL. I felt like this is maybe a problem of my recruiter. So I'm trying to find out a way to switch the recruiter if possible. Any comment will be welcome. yoe : 5 years. tc : ~ 300 k due to stock appreciation #meta #facebook
I thought team matching was only a "Google" thing.. Don't they (meta) interview for specific roles? Unlike Google they do have a team description on every job post
Meta has different tracks. Product, infrastructure, etc. But there’s still team matching. I just finished a loop and am in infra team matching.
They killed bootcamp last year and replaced it with this team matching bs
They’re gonna rescind your offer
I don’t think you get an offer until you’ve team matched
I work at Meta in recruiting. There was a big backlog (900-1000) of IC4/IC5 SWEs that were approved for offer, but not enough open headcount as teams were still doing 2024 roadmapping. There was a big push over the past month to match as many folks as possible to any available heads, and guidance was that if candidates rejected a team matching not to move forward since there's more candidates approved for offer than open roles.
Geez that’s rough
Dang that's a lot of backlog
