Has anyone gotten a chance to work in both the org; Azure as well as AWS as a mid level engineer . i.e. level-62(MSFT) and equivalent in amazon If so could you please share pros and cons in terms of growth, compensation, ecosystem, wlb etc. #engineering #software #swe #amazon #aws #azure #microsoft
Azure is built on top of Windows 3.1 and requires you to restart your brain when you get stuck.

havenβt used azure, aws could use better documentation tho lol
It's a big org. Around 50,000 people manage those. I don't think it's possible to compare growth, ecosystems and wlb. You need to narrow down to space where you will be working. Or to the team. Compensation surely Amazon will be significantly higher. But we all know its culture is absolutely trash.
Amazon WLB is trash. Msft comp is trash. Take your pick.
MS getting a cross the board bump these days prolly competitive now
naw. I read that it works out to about +$500ish/mo
Never worked for Microsoft but I've used both stacks. And can confirm that Azure is absolute trash.
